MUMBAI: Colors’ Choti Sarrdaarni is among the most popular shows on TV. The leads of the daily soap, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi, recently opted out of it, which will lead to a major twist in the plot.
Amandeep Sidhu will play the new female lead. Gaurav S Bajaj has been roped in as the male lead.
As per the latest development, TellyChakkar has learnt that the makers have roped in Anjali Gupta for the show. She will play the female lead's mother.

Anjali has been a part of several TV shows like Pehredar Piya Ki, Jiji Maa, Nazar 2, Rangrezz, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2.
Choti Sarrdaarni is produced by Rajesh Ram Singh and Pradeep Kumar under their banner Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment. They also bankroll popular shows like Kaamna on Sony TV and Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin on Star Plus.
