Top Reality Shows Of 2014

The year has seen some very interesting reality shows. From dare-devil acts to dance masti, 2014 has been one very entertaining year. As it comes to an end, we drum up a list of the top reality shows...take a look: Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7: (Colors) The dance reality show has always been popular with the masses. Because who doesn't want to see celebrity moving to beats of hit songs, with Madhuri Dixit, Remo D'Souza and Karan Johar judging their skills. This year was no different as it merged drama with dance and masti with magic. Khatron Ke Khiladi 5: (Colors) The adventure reality show pushes celebrators to extreme limits where they have to perform stunts that are beyond their wildest imaginations. With Rohit Shetty at the helm of things, the fifth season was quite a hit with the audiences. Bigg Boss 8 (Colors) It's popular for its controversies and high-octane drama. Not to forget the presence of Salman Khan in the show. With celebrities having to live in confided spaces with other popular actors is a tough thing to do. While many have lost their minds and dignity on the show, many have been able to come out on tops! India’s Raw Star (Star Plus) When Honey Singh decided to mentor a bunch of budding singers on Raw Star, the nation went into a tizzy. But unfortunately for the singer-rapper, he fell violently ill and had to leave the show mid-way. We are sure that there's not going to be another season of this show. Nach Baliye 6 (Star Plus) When real life celeb couples take part in a fun-filled dance face-off, it's but natural for us to love the show. That's what happened to this popular show, which has seen over six seasons of unparalleled success. Dare 2 Dance (Life OK) Nothing screams passion like combining dance with dare-devilry. This show may be in its maiden run this year, but looking at its popularity and appeal, we are sure it will come back for another season next year. And honestly, we can't wait! Kaun Banega Crorepati 8: (Sony TV) Every year, somebody takes home the big prize of crores of money...if that doesn't inspire you to dream big, we don't know what will. Be it Big B's booming voice or the joy of seeing people walk away with big bucks, we can never get enough of this show. Can we? Splitsvilla 7: (MTV) The one show that combines romance with daring stunts has always been a hit with us. Be it the 'forced' fights or the casual hook-ups, the reality show has the youth in a tizzy for sure. With Sunny Leone joining the team, it has been a massive roller coaster for sure! Family Antakshari: (SAB TV) Keeping the tradition of antakshri alive is this family show that has people from all walks of life being pitted against one another. While it may not be as interesting as its original run, it still manages to entertain. We hope it gets better over the months. India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (Zee TV) Concept-wise, it's a novel one. But execution-wise, erm...not so much. We like the premise of the show and even enjoyed certain parts of it. But we want more drama, more masti and more top-notch acting. What say? Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale (Zee TV) Another dance reality show, but it has its own twist that makes it a standout show. We love how every contestant puts in his 'dil' into every performance. The diligence and dedication makes this show a winner for sure. DID Li’l Masters (ZEE TV) Have you seen kids owning the stage? Well, welcome to the world of lil masters. With kids as young as three and four years doing the unimaginable, it's quite obvious for us to fall head-over-heels with them little wonders! Boogie Woogie (Sony) Much before all the reality shows came this dance show that actually saw people of all age groups put their best foot forward. It's a pity that its second innings wasn't that colourful. But we sure loved it and once a fan, always a fan, eh?
