Top Television Baddies of 2014

Top Television Baddies of 2014

If you thought 2014 belonged to the heroes and heroines on the small screen, you're obviously wrong. It was the year of the villains and their evil streaks as well. We take a look at the best of the lot.

Vishwajeet Pradhan as Rudra Pratap Singh (Ek Boond Ishq):

He can give the hero a run for his money with his good looks and acting chops. But his viciousness and pure evil makes Rudra stand apart from the rest. Agree?

Manish Wadhwa as Niranjan Agnihotri (Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phir):

The show that made Barun Sobti a household name is also responsible for reviving Wadhwa's career. He did a fine job of his antagonist role, didn't he?

Praneet Bhat as Shakuni Mama (Mahabharat):

We all know how the epic tale's turning point was Shakuni Mama's advice and dice-rolling ability. Bhatt, as the calculating mama, was just perfect.

Arpit Ranka as Duryodhana (Mahabharat):

The Kaurva leader may have dragged everybody into the war, but it's Ranka's powerful performance that made us air up and take notice of the epic tale.

Anurag Sharma as Parmeet Khurana (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein):

He is the perfect grey character because he creates his share of misfortune and misadventures for the love-lorn lead. Who else can summarise this list better?

Sangram Singh as Ashok (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein):

We never thought this dude would be able to pull off a role, much less a negative one. But he has proved us all wrongful with his hit performance. Take a bow, Singh!

Mohit Malik as Samrat Singh Rathore (Doli Armaanon Ki):

He is the only lead character on the list who has a deep evil side to him. When we were just thinking that he has mended flirty ways, Samrat pulls another fast one on us!

Chetan Hansraj as Aadam Khan (Jodha Akbar):

If you thought only the Hindu kinds gave Akbar sleepless nights, think again. Because he had to fight an internal battle with Aadam Khan as well. Small screen's favorite villain Hansraj does complete justice to his title.

Ravjeet Singh as Chirag (Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi):

The lead characters have enough to deal with without the constant irritation of Chirag butting into their lives.

Bharat Chawda as Virat (Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya):

In thing coming-of-age love story of two clashing notions of love, it's Virat's meddling ways that keep us entertained. It's a pity that the show has wrapped up.

Sai Ballal as Kamalnarayan Singh (Udann):

He is the tough Thakur who tries to ruin Chakor's life. We are not only fascinated by his dialogue delivery, but also of his sexy moustache.

Aniruddh Dave as Dev Pratap Patil (Bandhan):

The heartwarming story of siblings takes a turn for the worst, thanks to the cruel ways of Dev. But Dave delivered a smashing performance, didn't he?
