Anya, your performance in The Bads of Bollywood* has been widely appreciated. What was it like working under Aryan Khan’s direction?**
It was a wonderful experience. Aryan shared everything openly and has a voice that’s entirely his own. He is warm, charming, and incredibly grounded. Not once did I feel I was working with the son of Shah Rukh Khan. On set, he was my director—focused, clear with his vision, and extremely supportive. He also has a great sense of humour, which made the entire journey thoroughly enjoyable.
There’s always a perception that Aryan rarely smiles. Did you notice that on set?
He’s naturally shy and quite introverted, which is why he appears serious in public. I’m not the best person to comment on his personal demeanour, but I can say this—on set, he was full of laughter. He joked around, kept the atmosphere light, and his humour is actually one of the reasons the script has such sharp wit. A person who isn’t funny could never write something so clever.
From her debut in Qaidi Band to her endearing portrayal in Never Kiss Your Best Friend, and now her impressive OTT performance, Anya Singh continues to showcase sincerity and freshness in every role she undertakes.
With her dedication to honing her craft and her increasing visibility across platforms, she is steadily emerging as one of the most exciting young voices in Indian cinema.
Her growing body of work points towards a bright and promising future one that audiences are already eager to follow.
