MUMBAI: Anushka Sharma’s last film as a lead was the 2018 release Zero. The film failed to make a mark at the box office, and later the actress didn’t sign any movie. Her fans have been waiting for her next film which is Chakda Xpress.
Chakda Xpress is a biopic on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami and it will be premiered on Netflix. Anushka took to Instagram to inform her fans that the shooting of the film has been wrapped up.

She tweeted a few pictures from the sets and wrote, “It’s a wrap on #ChakdaXpress, and thank you @JhulanGoswami for the final clap to bring an end to the shoot!”
Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy who had earlier helmed the Anushka starrer Pari and the web series Paatal Lok which was also produced by Anushka. Well, this year, biopics have not done well at the box office, and even on OTT the response has been quite lukewarm. So, let’s wait and watch what response Chakda Xpress will get.

Well, earlier this month, Anushka’s fans got a surprise as she did a cameo in the film Qala. The movie premiered on Netflix and it has received a good response. People have been asking for a spin-off with Anushka’s character.
Anushka was on maternity leave after Vamika was born, and now, as she is all set to make a comeback. The audience has a lot of expectations from Chakda Xpress as Prosit and Anushka’s last outing Pari had impressed one and all. Meanwhile, the release date of Chakda Xpress has not been announced yet.
