MUMBAI: Season Two Casting News + About Citadel:
•    Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us), Rahul Kohli (The Fall of the House of Usher), and Michael Trucco (The Fall of the House of Usher) join Season Two of Citadel as recurring cast members.
•    Citadel premiered to global success in 2023 release, becoming Prime Video’s second most-watched new original series outside the U.S., and fourth most-watched worldwide, after 24 days. 
•    Citadel stands as the first in a landmark collection of Original Series; executive produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO, Citadel and its subsequent action-espionage Original Series traverse the globe, evolving the story of spy agency Citadel and its powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore.                  
•    Season Two of Citadel will begin production this year, with Joe Russo serving as director and Richard Madden and Priyanka-Chopra Jonas returning to star, alongside Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville. Jack Reynor also joins for season two.
•    From Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, Citadel is executive produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes for AGBO, with David Weil serving as showrunner and executive producer.

Merle Dandridge

Merle is an award-winning actress and singer who most recently starred as Desiree Armfeldt in the critically acclaimed production of A Little Night Music at the Pasadena Playhouse. Most recently on screen, Merle reprised her role of Marlene, leader of the fireflies, in HBO’s adaptation of “The Last of Us,” based on Naughty Dog's video game of the same name which Merle also voices the character in. “The Last of Us” recently received 24 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama series. Merle also played Chief Ross in ABC’s “Station 19,” starred as Grace Greenleaf in Oprah Winfrey’s hit series “Greenleaf," and appeared as Zarina Killebrew in Apple TV+’s “Truth Be Told.” Other television includes HBO’s “The Flight Attendant,” FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” CW’s “Starcrossed,” and NBC’s “The Night Shift.” Born in Japan, raised in Nebraska, Merle began her acting career with leading roles on Broadway in Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), Rent (Joanne), Aida (Aida), and Tarzan (Kala). More recently, Merle took on the role of Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Lincoln Center. She is also the first woman to play the role of Papa Ge in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Ahrens and Flaherty’s Once on This Island, which received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. In addition to her on-screen, stage, and video game voiceover work, Merle also serves on the Board of Directors of The Geffen Playhouse as well as Harvest Home, which provides housing and holistic support to homeless pregnant women.

Rahul Kohli

Originally from London, England, Rahul is perhaps best known for starring in the CW series iZOMBIE which ran for 5 seasons.  Most recently, he starred in multiple limited series created by Mike Flanagan for Netflix:  THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, MIDNIGHT MASS and MIDNIGHT CLUB. He most recently starred in a 4th series for Flanagan and Netflix, THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER, and DEATH AND OTHER DETAILS for Hulu. Rahul also starred as the male lead in the independent film, NEXT EXIT, which was directed by Mali Elfman.  He previously starred in the Netflix film, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, opposite Ben Schwartz and Noel Wells.

Michael Trucco

Michael will next be seen alongside Stanley Tucci in the Russo Brothers’ upcoming feature film “The Electric State” for Netflix.  Last year Michael re-teamed with Mike Flanagan for “The Fall of The House of Usher," and previously worked with Flanagan on his critically acclaimed series "Midnight Mass," "The Midnight Club," and the Blumhouse feature film "Hush."  He recently signed on to Flanagan's next project, a Stephen King film adaptation of "The Life of Chuck."  Michael is a scene stealer in the BET+ dark drama series "Average Joe,” playing a junkie police office and Joe's long-time best friend, who decides to get his hands dirty to help out his friend and for a piece of the payout.  Michael also has a heavily re-curing role in the Jerry Bruckheimer produced CBS series "Fire Country" and ABC series "The Rookie." He established himself with roles in hit series such as “Pensacola:  Wings of Gold,” "One Tree Hill" and " Beverly Hills, 90210." He is best known for his role as Samuel T. Anders in the critically acclaimed sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica." Other notable television credits include series regular roles on the Chuck Lorre Netflix series “Disjointed” with Kathy Bates and USA’s “Fairly Legal.” He also appeared in many primetime favorites including “How I Met Your Mother,” “Castle,” “Revenge,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon.”  In film, he appeared opposite Jessica Biel and Nicolas Cage in “Next,” headlined the “Battlestar Galactica” prequel movie “The Plan,” “The Bye Bye Man” with Carrie-Anne Moss for STX and the feature “Hunter Killer” with Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman.
