MUMBAI: The digital platform has been a boon for the entertainment industry in these tough times. Although many Bollywood movies have been delayed, a few have taken the OTT route. One of the much awaited movies of 2020 is Bhumi Pednekar starrer gorror thriller Durgamati, which also features Arshad Warsi, Jisshu Sengupta, and Mahie Gill in the lead roles.
Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the leading lady of the thriller, Bhumi Pednekar, who will be seen in a complete different avatar in this movie. The actress expressed her excitement and revealed that it was a unique and amazing experience shooting for this movie as she has never done something like this before in her career. This is the first time she will scaring the audiences.
Throwing some light on her character, the diva shared she will be seen playing the role of an IAS officer who is serving her jail term. The story revolves around her and why she is in jail. Is she a victim or a mastermind?
Describing her role, she said that her character is very complex and will put the audiences in thinking mode and will surprise them for sure as it is very mysterious.

Talking about her costars, she said that viewers will see all the actors in different avatars in this movie and all the performances will keep you hooked till the end.

Well, Durgamati is a remake of 2018 Telugu film Bhaagamathie, which had Anushka Shetty in the lead. The movie is all set for its digital premiere on 11th December.
