The series premiered yesterday and is streaming on Amazon Prime.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Bidita Bag, who essays the role of Antara Jaiswal, and asked her what made her say “Yes” to the project and does she regret not doing something back in her college days.

What made you say “Yes” to the project?

Firstly it's coming on Amazon Prime which is a huge platform and the push is worldwide. I also wanted to work with a new bunch of actors and the innocence that I had turned into confidence. I was confirmed earlier for the show then post COVID we had a new director on board and he made me audition for the role again. At first, I was like when I was selected then why the audition but then I knew I had to impress our director and did the audition for the role for the second time and it was a fun process, and then I was selected and came on board.

Tell us something about the character that you play in the series.

I had to learn to make Samosa. That’s something I didn’t know; my director came and quickly made it and I was left embarrassed and didn’t know how to react, but then finally with a lot of practice, I got the knack of making Samosa.

In college, students are so into their studies. Do you regret not doing something that you always wanted to do?

I am a Jack of all trades I am good at everything. I used to paint and draw so many things that were parallel to each other.  So there is nothing I regret. In the end, you play these different characters and get to explore so many things so even if we missed something as actors we get to do it, so life is beautiful.
