MUMBAI: Star Plus' show Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali ruled several hearts. The show had become everyone's favourite in no time. South actors Sai Ketan Rao and Shivangi Khedkar were playing the lead roles of Raghav and Pallavi respectively on Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali. Apart from the duo, Kushagre Dua turned out to be one of the most shining stars on the show.

Kushagre is all set to make his OTT debut with Campus Diaries, we got in touch with the actor to know about his character in the show, his preparations, and more. Check out what he had to reveal.
Tell me something about your experience with Campus Diaries.
It is a big platform for me, as this would mark my debut on OTT. Yet again I am playing an antagonist. It is quite different from Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali. Mehndi's negative role was completely different and I did receive a lot of hate and abusive messages for that. Sunny received hate but as Aditya in Campus Diaries shall break the stereotype for this. I am sure that they will love it. It will surely be beneficial for me as my Mehndi's followers will get to see yet another side of me.
Tell us something about your character.
Aditya is the senior guy, with influence behind. He has money, looks, power, and everything that can woo any girl. The negative point about him is that he is misusing his influence and his father's trust. He has turned into a complete brat who owns a flat for all his 'Aiyashi' and brings girls. Amid this, he meets Saloni Khanna and begins to date her but even this would turn into a massive toxic relationship and he wouldn't think twice before cheating on her. Both of them are together for their own benefits but the end to this is brutal.
How did you prepare for the character?
I was shooting for the series simultaneously with Mehndi so I used to travel from Kolhapur to Delhi in between and come back. My major preparations happed on video calls with Saloni as we used to practice our scenes in our free time. We used to always understand the story behind the characters and their reaction before enacting the scenes. I had a lot of fun working with my co-actors, they are uberly talented, and at a point, I did feel like a newbie with them but then they were really warm and welcoming towards me.
One day while I was rehearsing in Hyderabad, one of my co-actor stopped and heard me screaming. Out of concern, he knocked to know if I was fine and I revealed that I was preparing for my scene and I wasn't yelling at anyone.
Tell us about your bond with them.
As I was juggling with Mehndi and Campus Diaries, I used to fly back and forth for the shoot. I could see the ones who used to shoot daily had a tight bond. I had a lot of fun with them; Harsh's character is super fun, he is a typical Haryana boy. Abhinav is playing someone who is high on weed, his senseless talks are indeed hilarious. We used to discuss his character and die laughing reading his script.
One memory that you will take from the series?
I would take my last scene with me, I wouldn't spill the beans but the last scene really defined my work and my passion for acting. Even my co-stars and director were astonished looking at my performance. Saloni didn't expect that I would really do something that was completely out of the box. Even my opening scene with Ritvik and Harsh was also close to my heart. So I am hoping to see the reaction from the viewers.
Well, we can't wait to meet Aditya in that case now!
