Exclusive! Freddy Daruwala says, “I am constantly focusing on doing some good work”

MUMBAI : Freddy Daruwala made his debut as an antagonist with the film Holiday and he impressed one and all with his performance in it. After that we have seen him in many movies and OTT series.

TellyChakkar interacted with Freddy a few days ago, and spoke to him about being stereotyped in negative roles, upcoming projects, and more...

A few days ago, in an interview you stated that you are being stereotyped in negative roles. So, what are you doing to break it?

To be very honest, people do come to me with negative roles. But, I am constantly focusing on doing some good work and gladly the scenarios have changed; it’s not like the negative roles are completely negative like what Pran Sahab or Amrish Puri sir did, they were iconic villains. I am doing a lot of projects in which I am playing positive, negative, and grey shade characters.

We don’t get to see you much in many Hindi films. So, are you not getting good offers or are you being choosy?

I am not getting good offers. I am looking for work that can create more opportunities for me. Just acting for the sake of acting makes no sense to me. I would rather select and do roles that are taking my career and challenges ahead.

Tell us something about your upcoming projects.

I am working on a couple of projects that I cannot mention now because the production house has not yet announced them. But, having three releases in two weeks itself says that I am a busy actor.
