MUMBAI: One of the biggest casting directors of Indian cinema, Mukesh Chhabra is currently winning hearts of the fans with his acting debut in the OTT show Kafas. The actor is garnering lots of love for his character Irfan Akhtar in the show which has Sharman Joshi and Mona Singh in the leading role.

During an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, casting director-turned-actor Mukesh Chhabra spoke in detail about the love he is receiving for his OTT show Kafas and also the response for his character.

Mukesh Chhabra says that he is actually getting lots of messages and calls from fans and audience, saying that he was brilliant in the show. He says that he has done casting for around more than 300 movies, but he has never received so many calls. But with this character, he has been contacted a lot.

Mukesh Chhabra says that Irfan is a journalist, who is very honest and is trying to bring the truth in front of people, no matter what. How this particular story comes to him and how he reacts, is beautifully shown in the show.

Mukesh Chhabra on being the part of the show

Mukesh Chhabra says that he wants to thank the director of the show for casting him in this character. This casting was not done by Mukesh Chhabra, but it was the director's idea. He loved the character a lot and it was fun playing Irfan Akhtar on-screen.
