MUMBAI: MX player’s web series Nakaab which had Mallika Sherawat and Esha Gupta along with Gautam Rode is getting some amazing responses from the fans all over. The show was immensely loved by the fans for its amazing storytelling and the crafting of suspense along with some great performances. The web series also had actress Ankita Anthony who is a real life manager of actress Mallika Sherawat, she played the same character of manager to the actress in the web series. 

Team Telly Chakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the actress Ankita Anthony with regards to her acting journey where she also spoke about working with Mallika Sherawat and also the types of characters should look forward to doing on digital platforms. 

Ankita Anthony on her journey 

Ankita Anthony reveals that she belongs from Lucknow and since childhood she wanted to do something creative. Ankita was into Dancing but acting was never the part of the plan. Ankita came to Mumbai in the year 2010 to complete her journalism studies. The actress also thought of making it big in the dancing world as she loved Bharatanatyam. Well after completing the journalism course the actress landed up doing public relation activities. But somehow doing these activities the love for acting and dance came back to the actress and she was later seen doing a small cameo on television serial Badho Bahu. Later over the time Ankita went on with her managerial activities with different clients and currently she is the business manager of actress Mallika Sherawat. 

Ankita Anthony on working with Mallika Sherawat in the web series Nakaab 

Ankita Anthony revealed that no doubt Mallika Sherawat is one of the finest actresses we have in Bollywood industry, when the entire team was shooting for the show Nakaab, the director wanted someone to play the PR for actress Mallika Sherawat in the web series. The director looked at Ankita and said, ``Why not you can do this character as you are already doing the same in real life. When she heard this she was very excited and immediately said yes for the same. She also recalls one moment when actress Mallika Sherawat told her that now we are co-actors. This one line coming from actress Mallika Sherawat was very big for her and she has been fortunate enough to be the part of such a fabulous project Nakaab.

Ankita Anthony on types of characters she looks forward to do on digital platform   

Ankita Anthony says, with the rise in consumption of content we can see some amazing content coming on digital platforms especially after 2020 lockdown, having said that she looks forward to playing some different characters on screen but specifically she looks forward to doing some strong negative characters on digital platforms. 

No doubt it will be a treat to watch the actress in a negative character, she also says that she would love to do some simple raw comedy projects on digital platforms.

Mallika Sherawat is enjoying a huge fan base over the time, we have seen and loved the actress in different characters on screen but Ankita reveals one lesser known fact about the actress which no one knew. Ankita says many of the fans do not know that Mallika Sherawat is well read and well aware of current affairs. Yes she loves to read and stay updated on what's happening around the world and she is one of the intelligent minds of Bollywood.
