MUMBAI: Actress Pooja Gor is indeed one of the most loved and followed actresses in the acting space. With her beautiful characters she has created a strong mark in the hearts and minds of the fans who always look for the work of the actress.

In an exclusive interaction with Tellychakkar, actress Pooja Gor spoke on the types of characters she looks forward to doing and also on her dream actor and director she wants to work with

What types of characters do you look forward to playing which you have not been offered yet?

“My focus is to be a part of projects across different genres. I want to explore the range of characters, be a part of different stories. I want to surprise myself as well as the audience.”

You have been contributing to the TV industry, then Bollywood with Kedarnath, and now you are rocking the ott platform. What are your plans for Bollywood? Do you want to make your presence solid in bollywood? Also who are your dream actors and directors to collaborate with?

“There are so many amazing stories being made across mediums. The plan is to collaborate with anyone who is making unique and interesting projects without the restriction of the medium. And as an actor I am excited to explore challenging characters and ideas. I would love to work with Pankaj Tripathi Sir, KK Menon, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam kher, Neena Guptaji, Dimple Kapadia, Rajshree Deshpande, Jaideep Ahlawat and Gulshan Devaiah amongst the actors”

She adds, “Amongst directors the list is long, but to begin with I am manifesting collaborating with Konkona Sen Sharma, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, Zoya Akhtar, Mira Nair, Arati Yadav, Anand Tiwari, R Balki & of course Sanjay Leena Bhansali”

What type of actor are you? Do you see the length of the role, or just go by the strength of the role.

“I have been fortunate to have received so much love for my shows on TV which were long format productions with lengthy screen times. Considering that, I would say the strength of the role is my current preference. Intriguing storyline and never played before characters are the two barometers for choosing the project for me”
