MUMBAI: Arjun Radhakrishnan is getting a phenomenal response from fans for his recently released web series Rocket Boys on SonyLIV. The actor was seen playing APJ Abdul Kalam on screen. His performance is being appreciated.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the actor with regard to the response he has been getting on playing such a big name.

Arjun says that it was indeed a great responsibility to play such a huge personality on screen. He was initially nervous because no one has played APJ Abdul Kalam on screen in any movie or web series. But his director Abhay Pannu guided him very well for the character, and he is getting an amazing response from fans.

Talking about his preparation, the actor revealed that he has gone through all sorts of readings, which were available on the internet, and the autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam. There was a research team who was helping him with the history and achievements. The actor also says that people know about APJ Abdul Kalam from the last 10 to 15 years of his life, but no one knew about his childhood and younger days. So this series will be a treat for people because there are many glimpses of childhood that throw light on the initial achievements of Abdul Kalam.

Talking about the shooting experience, the actor says that it was a great experience collaborating with an amazing bunch of talented people like Ishqwak Singh and Jim Sarbh. The entire series was shot during the lockdown period and it was quite a challenging process because the shooting was halted many times due to restrictions and change in guidelines.
