MUMBAI: Ridhi Dogra is currently busy garnering praises for her performance in Asur season 2 which started streaming on 2nd June 2023. Now, on 9th June, her new series titled Badtameez Dil is also slated to release.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with her and spoke to her about Badtameez Dil, having two releases in a span of a week and more...

The show was announced in 2021, and now, finally it is being released. So, how nervous or excited are you for it and why did it take so long to come out?

Very excited and thrilled that it is finally coming out, and everybody will be able to watch it. Why did it take time to come out? Well, because making good things takes time.

The series talks about two different people, having different ideas about love and marriage. But, what’s your take on the concept of love and marriage?

I don’t know about romance, but I feel just as a person I hold certain values. So, I feel like whatever you do whether it is modern or old, there should be integrity and loyalty and that by itself means that you are a one man woman or a one woman man, and you make a relationship work no matter how difficult it gets, you give it your all. It will be very sad if it will be an old school thing or it will just be a modern thing. I hope it’s an all time thing; it’s just the matter of value systems. So, I think it is little more than just romance.

Asur season 2 released a few days ago, and now, Badtameez Dil is coming in just one week. So, do you feel a kind of pressure about it?

There’s no pressure, it only feels great. I feel like if there was some gap it would have been good, a little gap would have been nice. But, there’s no pressure. It’s actually great because the comments that I am reading are hilarious, people are saying things like ‘Nusrat and Nikhil in another world’ and more. So, there’s no pressure, it is only a joy to come back to the audience so soon. In a way I feel there’s a sense of joy because the audience will get to see me playing two drastically different characters. It’s actually a great phase to be in like I have just given you a performance in a very restrained and intense space, and now there’s this which is so far away from that.
