MUMBAI: Harjinder Singh, who is making his OTT debut with "Inspector Avinash", says he never dreamt of owning a house of his own. His priorities about a home have always been different.
"Honestly, I never dreamt of a house of my own. I know this is a little unusual thought but I always dreamt of a bigger house with my parents, and not a house of my own. I always pictured myself with my whole family and never alone," he said.
"A house is made of bricks and mortar and a home is made of people who live there. So my dream as a child has always been at the end of day coming back to my home and my family," he added.
He further revealed that he always wanted his home to be quite spacious and closer to nature. "I belong to Punjab so I have always wanted to look for a house where we can have a beautiful terrace and an open space. I find it difficult to live in clustered space. So when we were looking for a property we made sure to include a garden as part of my home. In fact, my favourite corner in my house is the terrace. I enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset and spending my evening with my family there. Just to feel the breeze and enjoy the sundown," he said.
So do you feel every house has a story to tell? "Yes I firmly believe in it. All those walls are filled with stories. Memories are embedded within the floors. Laughter can be heard in the doorways. And tears leave their mark at the entrance. Our homes are an extension of who we are," Harjinder concluded.
