MUMBAI: Jimmy Sheirgill is back with another web series, Your Honor, on SonyLIV. Directed by E Niwas, the series begins streaming today (June 18). It is adapted from an Israeli series, Kvodo.
In the series, Jimmy plays the character of a sessions court judge, Bishan Khosla, who is to be promoted as a High Court judge, but things go awry when his son gets involved in a car accident. In the accident, a gangster's son gets seriously injured and now Bishan gets caught between morality and family.
In a media interaction, Jimmy spoke on the series and how working on digital medium is beneficial for an actor. Talking about his character he said, "I play a sessions court judge, whose name is Bishan Khosla. There is a certain level of intensity to him. The character has a lot of depth."
Jimmy Sheirgill also has a teenage son, when asked if he could relate to this aspect of his character he said that it was one the things that made him say yes to the project. "That was one aspect that attracted me to the script. When you can relate to things then emotions come out easily. You can relate to the emotional sequences and put yourself into it," added Jimmy.

The actor made his digital debut with ZEE5'S Rangbaaz. This is his second web series and he already seems to be smitten by the OTT platform. "This is my second show (on a digital platform). I am drawn to this because it gives you that space to live that character you are portraying. If there is a scene, there is no hurry, that's the beauty of this format. It will take us a little time to get used to this format because the reality of this format is to give the actor the space that they require. I have thoroughly enjoyed this platform and will stick on to this," he said.
The fate of a movie is decided every Friday and depends on its box office collection. However, the same doesn't apply to digital shows. Talking about the same, Jimmy revealed, "Box office ka pressure toh maine filmon mein bhi nahi liya hai. Woh dusre logo ko lene do. One needs to work sincerely and I think that's what I've done whether it's Rangbaaz or Your Honor."
Your Honor also stars Varun Badola, Mita Vashisht, Parul Gulati, Suhasini Mulay, and Pulkit Makol, among others.
