MUMBAI: Pankaj Tripathi is back with a bang as Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur 2. The popular Amazon Prime Video series began streaming from today (October 23). Fans were eagerly waiting for Mirzapur 2 and finally, after two years the second season of the web series was dropped on the OTT platform. Pankaj is again winning hearts with his performance as King of Mirzapur - Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya. Although the men of Mirzapur, be it Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu, Bablu or Munna have a great fan following, the women are no less. One of the most popular woman characters is Beena Tripathi, Kaleen's second wife, played by Rasika Dugal. Even Pankaj Tripathi loves the mysterious character and would love to play her if not for King Kaleen.

Speaking about the character of his on-screen wife, Beena Tripathi, actor Pankaj Tripathi said, "I find the character of Beena Tripathi very interesting. If I had the choice to choose a character other than Kaleen Bhaiya’s I would have definitely taken up Beena Tripathi’s role because there is a mystery to her character and Rasika Duggal being the brilliant actress has portrayed the character perfectly."
Women of Mirzapur are the embodiment of strength and Beena's character has stood out in the series. Hers is a marriage of convenience. She gets married into the Tripathi family for power and is very practical about life. The only thing that she doesn't have control over is her sex drive.
The storyline of the second season of Mirzapur dives deeper into the murky and rustic world of guns, drugs and lawlessness in Mirzapur. The series is produced by Excel Media and Entertainment, created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Mihir Desai.
