MUMBAI: The trailer of the much-awaited movie Gehraiyaan is out. The film showcase all the elements of Love, relationships, and betrayal.

The film will see Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the leading roles.  The trailer of the film was released through a virtual press conference, which was attended by the entire cast and crew.

During the media interaction, Deepika Padukone was asked about her character in the movie. To which Deepika revealed that she has never played a character like this before. You have never seen any Indian actors playing a character like this before. She can very confidently say that India has never seen a film like this before. Director Shakun Batra is really good at showing love and relationships. He is really the best person to bring that on-screen whether it is a film or characters.

Talking about how different it is from her previous roles. The actress said I have done many films and characters that are love stories or relationship dramas. I want to say bold but I don’t want it to be bold because the way we understood bold in our films and characters we been seen is different. I will say the character is raw because it is more real than the characters I have played earlier. I think to be able to do that on screen it has to come from a very deep place.

She added intimacy is not something that it is not been explored in Indian cinema before in the way we have in this film. So to go down to that route of intimacy and vulnerability is only possible when you know that the director is not doing it to scintillate or he is not doing it for the eyeballs. He is doing it because of where the character is coming from through their journey and experiences. And it is only possible when you feel safe and secure in the environment you are working.
