Adarsh Gourav Bhagavatula was born into a Telugu family in Jamshedpur, India. Talking about his family, his father Satishnarayan Bhagavatula is from Srikakulam District, and his mother Padmavati hails from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.

It was the year 2007 when his family decided to relocate. He studied at the Lilavatibai Podar High School. While singing in the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2007, he was spotted and asked if he wanted to try acting. He agreed only because he was excited to be on television. After a year of auditioning, he was cast as the young Shah Rukh Khan in the film My Name is Khan.

Talking about the filmography of the actor, he has done projects like My Name Is Khan, in which he essayed the role of young Rizwan Khan; Madly; Rukh; Toothache; and Mr Radish. His TV series include Die Trying, Leila, and Hostel Daze.
