MUMBAI: Vaibhav Tatwawadi is known for his performances in many Hindi and Marathi films, and he has also been making a mark on OTT as well. The actor was recently seen in the OTT series Commando, and his performance in it is being appreciated.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Vaibhav and spoke to him about the response the series has received, doing action and more...
What response are you getting for Commando?
The response is really good, and recently, Vipul sir messaged saying that it is in the top five most viewed web series in India. So, I am really very happy with the kind of response that we have got.
How was your experience of working with Vipul Shah, Adah Sharma and the whole team of the series?
I always wanted to work with Vipul sir because I have been an admirer of his work. When I got a call from his office that they are looking to cast me for a web series, it was a no-brainer for me to say yes. Honestly, the kind of respect that I had for Vipul sir, after working with him, I guess it has increased like 100 times because of the kind of person he is. He is not just a brilliant director, but he is an amazing human being as well. So, working with him was a great experience. Adah is fun to work with and she is a person full of positivity. The team was really good and all the actors were a treat to work with.
You have done action in Marathi films, but this is for the first time when Hindi audiences saw you doing action. So, how was it to step into the action genre?
This is the first time I am playing the role of an Army man, so I was really excited for that. Action genre is challenging, but I feel when you watch it on screen once everything is ready, you know that the effort that you have taken was worth it. So, I am glad that I could explore this genre in Hindi as well. It is definitely challenging, but the love that you get from the audience makes you feel that all the efforts were worth it.
