MUMBAI: Himika Bose is known for some amazing performances in films like Padman and Jai Mummy Di. The actress is all set to be seen in the web series Jugaadistan, where she will be seen in a very different avatar

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to interact with the actress where she spoke about the response she has been getting for the web series, her character in it, and what made her say yes to the project.

Tell us the response you have been getting for your web series Jugaadistan.

The response has been great till now. Everybody is embracing the new-age college drama shown in the web series. The audiences are liking the way college life is shown instead of us just showing normal love stories. So yes, I am really happy that everybody is liking the web series. 

Tell us about your character in the web series.

I am playing a character called Aarti. She is a medical college student, who is also the best friend of the main character. She is a daughter of a single mother. So she understands the situation differently. Like when you want something, you have to work for it. Her journey in the show is that she wants something really badly for herself, and for that, she works very hard to make it a reality. Later, she gets involved in a mess and whether she comes out of it or not you have to watch in the show.

What made you say yes to this project?

I got the call to audition for the character, and when they explained to me who Aarti is, I felt like this can be a new version of Himika. Because Aarti is a Bengali girl who is born and brought up in Delhi. It is something I personally related to a lot as I have also grown up in Delhi. But the upbringing of this character is so different from mine. So I really wanted to do this series after knowing her struggle. The other reason that made me say yes was that I really wanted to work with Adhaar Khurana Sir. I have been seeing his work for a long time, and since then, he has been on my list. He is really fun to work with.
