MUMBAI: While balancing the chaos of shoots, scripts, and spotlight, Hunter 2 actor Mazel Vyas finds grounding in the quiet comfort of real connections — the kind that don’t demand attention but offer unwavering presence.
“For me, it’s about reaching out, checking in, and simply being there for the people who matter,” says Mazel. “The rituals have changed over time, but the intent stays. I’m more mindful now about the relationships I invest in.”
Having navigated the often transient world of entertainment, Mazel acknowledges the challenges of building lasting friendships within the industry. “I have a few industry friends and I really cherish those bonds. I don’t have a 2 AM friend, and that’s fine. I’ve made peace with the kind of relationships I have, and I’m happy and grateful for the people who are there in the ways they can be.”
For her, quality time doesn’t hinge on glitz or drama. “To be honest, it’s never about where we are. A night in, pajamas on, deep conversations over chai — those are my favourite moments,” she shares. “Of course, spontaneous holidays and crazy dancing at house parties also have their charm!”
She also holds onto a few childhood friendships that have stood the test of time. “We talk sometimes, and even if not regularly, there’s always that sense of familiarity and ease,” she reflects. “The friendships from childhood feel simpler and more rooted. The ones we make now are beautiful too, but definitely more layered.”
In a world driven by quick exchanges and digital updates, Mazel’s approach to friendship is refreshingly sincere — a gentle nod to the quiet moments and authentic bonds that last beyond the scroll.
