MUMBAI: Many famous performers who began their careers as child actors subsequently struggled to land their first major role. It took six years for one such actor—who won a National Award at the age of 14—to land his first major role. The actor in question has collaborated with Gulshan Grover and Rani Mukerji, and his performance in the OTT show is now gaining hearts. He is Harsh Mayar, that's for sure.

At the age of eight, Harsh Mayar began his career as an actor by enrolling in acting school at the Shri Ram Center in Delhi. He was chosen for Chillar Party out of 180 tryouts, but he eventually declined it since he hurt his right hand playing.
In the film I Am Kalam, he made his screen debut alongside Gulshan Grover. The film, directed by Nila Madhab Panda, has received multiple accolades. In addition to receiving numerous worldwide honors for his work, Harsh was named the 2011 National Award winner for Best Child Artist for I Am Kalam. Still, his ordeal was far from over. After that, he played a few bit parts in TV series and films, but he had to wait six years for his big break before he was cast in Hichki with Rani Mukerji.

After that, he made his OTT debut as Aman Mishra in the popular series Gullak, and even with the release of the new season, the audience continues to adore his portrayal. Starring with Shreyansh Pandey, Gullak features Jameel Khan, Sunita Rajwar, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Vaibhav Raj Gupta. You may watch all four seasons of the show on SonyLIV. In addition, Harsh featured in the ZEE5 serial Abhay and the Kanpuriye series on Disney+ Hotstar. Now that he's an OTT sensation, the actor reportedly charges Rs 1 lakh a day, if reports are to be believed.
