MUMBAI: Ever since the trailer of the web series Ranjish Hi Sahi was out, fans were eagerly waiting for the show. Finally, the show has premiered on Voot Select. This romantic tragedy stars some amazing talents like Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amala Paul, Amrita Puri, Zarina Wahab, and Paras Priyadarshan. 

Talking about the story of the show, it is based on a director who is eagerly looking for a good story for his movie. After meeting superstar Amna Parvez played by Amala Paul, how the life of this director changes is something amazing to see. 

The screenplay is well written and will definitely keep you engaged. Moreover, the direction by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj is good. 

Talking about the performances, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Shankar, the film director, has delivered one of his best performances. On the other hand, it is a treat to watch Amala Paul as 70s' actress Amna Parvez. We won't be wrong in saying that this is an out-and-out Amala Paul show. Amrita Puri as Anju is decent on her part. The other stars like Zarina Wahab and Paras Priyadarshan have also done justice to their roles.

Talking about the positive points of the show, no doubt it has to be the performances, especially that of Amala Paul. The actress has delivered one of her career's best performances as Aamna Parvez. On the other hand, Tahir and Amrita are also a treat to watch. The 70s era in Bollywood has been captured in a fresh manner. A special mention must be made for the background and the main music, which definitely enhances your viewing experience. 

Talking about the negative points of the show, the screenplay dips a little in between, which slows down the overall pace, but once again, the strong performances come to the rescue. 

Ranjish Hi Sahi is a well-made romantic tragedy that cannot be missed. Team Telly Chakkar goes with 3.5 for Ranjish Hi Sahi.
