Now, the latest update is that actresses Saii Ranade Sane and Shivani Sopori will be seen in an upcoming short-film by Hocuss Focus Productions titled ‘Social Emotions’. The project will be directed by Ashhna Srivastava. Also, Saii’s husband Salil Sane will have a part to play in the project.

Saii has entertained the audience with her acting chops in shows like Veerpur Ki Mardani: Laado and Tara From Satara among others while Shivani is known for her performances in Kumkum Bhagya and Mirzapur.

Speaking more about the concept of the short-film, Ashhna said, “In today’s world, many of us rely on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, and Twitter to find and connect with each other. While each has its benefits, it’s important to remember that social media can never be a replacement for real-world human connection. It requires in-person contact with others to trigger the hormones that alleviate stress and make you feel happier, healthier, and more positive. Ironically for some of us this route has become an addiction and this short film is about a similar person who is invested so much in their social life that they don’t care about the emotions of people around them until it's too late and they are the ones who get to taste their own medicine”.

Have a look at the poster of the project:

Hocuss Focus Production is helmed by Ashhna, Punit Dahima and Vandana Singh.

The team said, “Use your phone to read a book, learn a new topic, create something of value, and master your craft. Find a job, or a new hobby, call your true friends and family instead of just shooting a simplistic text. Put the technology to good use. We shouldn’t avoid all social media and cell phone use. Moderation is key when it comes to filling our time with certain entertainment. Let’s focus on the things that are actually important to us”.

Sources have it that the makers have worked quite hard on the project and it is one of the most awaited projects of theirs.

Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
