MUMBAI: After a long wait, Shershah finally released on Amazon Prime. The movie shows the journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra and how his team fought during the Kargil War. The movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan and written by Sandeep Shrivastava and has Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Vikram Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal, while Kiara Advani plays the role of Vikram's girlfriend Dimple Cheema. Here is the full review of the movie.

Talking about the story, it is designed very well and can be called as the perfect tribute to Captain Vikram Batra. Right from the first scene, the story sets the tone right and shows the love and passion of Captain Vikram Batra towards his country.

The screenplay of the movie is beautifully written. There is no single moment when you will get bored. From the first to the last scene, the screenplay will keep you hooked. A special mention needs to be given to the flashback scenes, which appear in between and enhance your viewing experience.

Talking about the performances, we won't be wrong in saying that this is Sidharth Malhotra's best work. The actor has carried the entire movie on his shoulders; no doubt it is a treat to watch Sidharth as Captain Vikram Batra. On the other hand, Kiara Advani looks beautiful and delivers a decent performance. On the other hand, Shiv Pandit, Nikitin Dheer, Sahil Vaid, and others have done justice to their parts.

The positive points of the movie are the casting, which is perfect. The screenplay is well designed. The emotions are very well captured in the movie. Every scene will connect with you and make you emotional. The action sequences and the war scenes are also a visual treat.

Talking about the negative points, the songs bring down the excitement level for the movie and look a little forced.

Well, these points aside, the film is an apt tribute to Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra and is the perfect watch this Independence week.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3.5/5 stars for Shershaah.
