MUMBAI: MUMBAI: As the city gears up for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, actor Sidharrth Sipani, who has been part of shows such as Zindagi Ki Mehek and the web film Fariha, and is excited about his next project titled Hero Kaun, says that the festival means a lot to him. While his family doesn’t observe the occasion in a grand way, he admits that being part of the festivities brings him immense joy.

“We don’t celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in a grand way at home, but we truly enjoy being part of the festivities through invitations from friends and family. We also visit the Ganesh temple, offer our prayers, and seek Bappa’s blessings for happiness, health, and prosperity,” Sidharrth says.

Though he doesn’t bring Ganpati home, the actor makes it a point to visit pandals across Mumbai every year. “We don’t bring Ganpati home, but we love visiting pandals and temples during the festival. The energy, devotion, and creativity around Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai are truly unmatched. Over the years, it has been a joyful experience—soaking in the festive spirit, witnessing beautifully decorated idols, and feeling the positive vibrations all around,” he shares.

When it comes to festive food, Sidharrth keeps it balanced. “I usually like sticking to my regular diet plan and don’t go too far off my routine, even during festivals. But I do enjoy a little indulgence, especially a bite of modaks or prasad, because it feels like a special part of the celebration,” he reveals.

The actor believes Ganesh Chaturthi completely transforms the energy of Mumbai. “Yes, the festivity completely changes the vibe of Mumbai. The whole city glows with lights, music, and happiness, and there’s this sense of togetherness that makes you feel connected to the celebration everywhere you go,” he says.

Talking about passing traditions to the younger generation, he explains, “I truly believe it’s important to keep our traditions alive because they hold the essence of who we are and where we come from. For the younger generation, it’s about making these rituals feel meaningful and personal, like understanding the ‘why’ behind them rather than just following them.”

Highlighting the importance of eco-friendly celebrations, he adds, “Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in a way that blends tradition with sustainability and creativity—using eco-friendly idols, hosting small community gatherings, and sharing the journey through meaningful digital storytelling, like short videos of family prayers or the making of prasad—would keep the essence alive while making it feel fresh and relevant for today’s generation.”

On his personal wish this year, Sidharrth says that he is praying for a better world. “My wish to Bappa is for a world filled with good health, kindness, and equal opportunities for everyone. I pray for peace across nations, unity among people, and a society where compassion outweighs conflict. I wish for the planet to heal, for children everywhere to smile, and for humanity to move forward with love,” he says
