MUMBAI: SonyLIV has undergone a smashing makeover recently and is all poised to give the big daddies of streaming a run for their money. Not only has it got an alluring lineup of original Hindi web series and several great English series waiting in the wings to release soon, it is also in the process to buy delectable movies for premiere on its platform for the audience.
One such movie is the Rajat Kapoor-directed Kadakh. The movie has done the rounds of film festivals around the world, where it has been appreciated and lauded by critics for its particular brand of dark humour and engaging storytelling.
The movie is centred on Diwali day, a dead body and a couple faced with the prospect of keeping the body hidden in the midst of their lavish Diwali party and the gaggle of guests milling about their home. Kadakh is a powerful satire on the amorality pervading high society in today’s apathetic times. When a person’s life holds no value before concerns of status, prestige, money, or jobs.

Kadakh has been directed by Rajat Kapoor, and stars a stellar ensemble cast of Chandrachoor Rai, Cyrus Sahukar, Kalki Koechlin, Mansi Multani, Palomi Ghosh, Rajat Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Sagar Deshmukh, Shruti Seth, and Tara Sharma.
Going by all the details of cast, crew and premise, the movie certainly looks like a winning proposition for SonyLIV!
