MUMBAI: Aryan Khan has officially stepped into the world of filmmaking with his debut Netflix series, The Bads of Bollywood.
Co-created with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan and produced under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, the show promises hard-hitting drama, biting satire, and a refreshingly self-aware narrative that both celebrates and critiques the glitzy world of Bollywood.
The teaser, unveiled on 17 August 2025, quickly created a stir online. Aryan’s witty narration, cleverly reworking an iconic Mohabbatein line, set the tone for a series that is daringly bold yet steeped in nostalgia.
With glimpses of romance, glamour, and high-octane drama, the promo takes an unexpected twist when Aryan himself is shown being struck by a truck—an audacious nod to the show’s irreverent humour.

Featuring Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, and Lakshya in key roles, the series was celebrated with a grand preview launch today, where Shah Rukh Khan stood proudly in support of his son.
During the event, Aryan faced the media for the very first time. Honest and candid, he admitted to being extremely nervous, revealing that he had rehearsed his speech for days and even prepared notes on a teleprompter.
Light-heartedly, he shared that if all else failed, he had his father’s script ready for backup, asking the audience’s pardon should he falter.
The evening was a proud milestone for Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, as their eldest child marked his entry into cinema not as an actor, but as a director with a strong creative voice.
With The Bads of Bollywood set to stream soon on Netflix, all eyes are now on Aryan Khan’s daring new vision for storytelling.
