MUMBAI : Kim Tae Ri turns a year older today. Did you know that 'The Handmaiden' actress could not speak to people older than her, during one time in her life?
Kim Tae Ri is a brilliant actress who has gained fame in the Korean industry through her mind-blowing roles in different dramas and movies. She received widespread fame with her role in director Park Chan Wook's 'The Handmaiden' which was released in 2016. The actress is a hard-working lady who has had her days of struggles. Before she got fame with her roles in 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One' and 'Mr. Sunshine', Kim had to do many odd jobs while she tried to make it big as a Korean actress. She used to work at stores, fast food chains and then started modelling for TV ads and music clips, according to a report by Scoompi.
The actress, who then started doing commendable roles, had once revealed to the same publication that she was not comfortable talking to older people. She had said, "I’m not good at speaking informally to people older than me".

The Korean diva has come a long way after "The Handmaiden" which gave her the award for Best New Actress at Blue Dragon Film Awards and Director's Cut Awards. She was one of the stars who was chosen from 1500 actresses who had given their audition for the role in 'The Handmaiden', reportedly.
The actress then was seen in '1987: When the Day Comes' for which she got a lot of fame for her role. It was in 2018 when she was seen in the Korean version of the manga series titled 'Little Forest', where she shared the screen with Ryu Jun Yeol and Jin Ki Joo.
