MUMBAI: Akshara Singh is an Indian telly and Bolly actress, who has featured in many popular Bhojpuri movies and some Hindi telly shows. She is one of the highly popular actresses in the Bhojpuri entertainment industry and is primarily active therein.
Currently, actress Akshara has participated in Karan Johar's hosted controversial reality show Bigg Boss OTT as one of the finalist contestants. Herein, she was being accompanied by her fellow inmates like Shamita Shetty, Pratik Sehajpal, Ridhima Pandit, Divya Agarwal, Moose Jattana, Raqesh Bapat, Neha Bhasin, Karan Nath, Millind Gaba, Nishant Bhat, and Zeeshan Khan.
This is also the very first season of Bigg Boss which is streaming digitally on the OTT platform Voot.
Debuting on the silver screen with the Bhojpuri film Satyamev Jayate (2010), there was no stopping Akshara's march towards claiming stardom, such that she is now one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bhojpuri industry. She featured in other movies like Saugandh Ganga Maiya Ke (2012), Satya, Dhadkan, Sarkar Raj and Tabadala (2017), and Maa Tujhe Salaam (2018).
Akshara was also seen in Hindi shows like Kaala Teeka, Service Wali Bahu and Porus.
Akshara is currently grabbing the headlines as Bigg Boss OTT's contestants for her drastic fallouts with Shamita Shetty and Divya Agarwal. She's also seen taking huge pride in her ethnic identity. Also, the actress is known to have a very melodious voice and can be seen singing in brief instances.
