The Greek God of Bollywood turns 15 in B-Town this year. Yes! The dreamy-eyed debutant of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai has mesmerised us with his dancing skills and acting chops for over a decade. With many more decades to go in the industry, we have rounded off five of his best roles in the past 15 years...take a look:
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai:
How can we not include the movie that made him a star overnight? Be it his firang good looks or his flexibility on the dance floor, the Roshan boy made a striking debut in Bollywood with this masala fare. The movie not only broke all records, but also launched him into the big league instantly.
Koi...Mil Gaya:
After a lukewarm year at the BO, the Roshans bounced back with one of the most entertaining franchises in Bollywood, the Krrish series. Roshan Jr's portrayal of a slow learner with various in capabilities in this flick was highly appreciated. Despite the two sequels, the original remains our all time favorite from the series, isn't it?
Jodhaa Akbar:
The movie may not have been a commercial blockbuster like his other big-ticket flicks, but this was a role he did complete justice to. His majestic height, dashing personality and subdued chemistry with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made the movie a magical one. Nobody else could have pulled off this role with such elegance and élan.
Guzaarish:
As a handicapped person, yearning to kill himself, Hrithik was at his absolute best in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. Right from his get-up to his nuanced acting, he set aside his star power and exploited his acting talent to deliver a swashbuckling performance. We are hoping for an encore of such roles from his end. Aren't you too?
Agneepath:
If anybody could have filled into Big B's rather large shoes, it's Hrithik. His gorgeous looks do not take away from the intensity of the action scenes and brooding moments. He kicks ass with as much poise as he matches his steps with Priyanka Chopra. Now that's something Big B didn't do in the original, right?
