The film has many ace actors, but Deepika’s performance became the talking point. Padmaavat became a huge box office success and also entered the Rs. 300 crore club at the box office.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree became a blockbuster hit. However, her second release Batti Gul Meter Chalu did not meet expectations. Stree and Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s cumulative business was Rs 166.93 crore.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt reached a different league after acting in the film Raazi. The Meghna Gulzar's directorial venture saw her as a spy, and the film earned critical acclaim as well as did wonders at the box office. The moderate-budget film entered the Rs. 100 crore club.
Nushrat Bharucha
Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame actress Nushrat Bharucha impressed film-buffs with her performance in Luv Ranjan's urban rom-com, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The film performed well at the box office and did a business of Rs. 108.71 crore.
Anushka Sharma
Actor–producer Anushka Sharma did two experimental films in 2018: Pari and Sui Dhaaga: Made In India. The cumulative business of the films was Rs. 103.67 crore. Anushka’s risk-taking nature deserves applaud.
