MUMBAI: The Kashmir Files is the talk of the town. The movie is getting an amazing response from fans and critics for its hard-hitting storytelling and the brutal truth shown in it. It is also being appreciated for the performances delivered by Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. 

Saurabh M Pandey, who is the screenplay writer of the movie, in an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, spoke in detail about the response he has been getting and about the inception of The Kashmir Files.

Saurabh M Pandey and the entire team didn't know that they will get such a huge response for the movie. He has received some great and positive responses for the movie. Saurabh adds that he feels very inspired and motivated that his work is being appreciated by fans and critics.

Saurabh M Pandey says that he has been associated with filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri from the days of The Tashkent Files. Later, he came up with the idea of The Kashmir Files, which throws light on the struggle and hardships faced by Kashmiri Pandits and how their story was untold and unheard for 32 years. Saurabh says that it was very important for this story to be told to society. They lived like a refugees in their own country.

Saurabh M Pandey on the challenges during research and the making of the movie 

Saurabh M Pandey says the process was very difficult because the entire team was involved in researching the subject and interviewing the victims, which was very hard-hitting. What the makers have shown in the movie is not much, and when the entire team came back from research and started working on the project, it was quite challenging because the subject was very disturbing.
