MUMBAI: Fatima Sana Shaikh is beaming with pride as Sam Bahadur received three prestigious honours at the 71st National Film Awards. The film bagged the honours of Best Feature Film on National, Social and Environmental Values, Best Makeup and Best Costume Design. Reacting to the significant achievement, Fatima congratulated the team and expressed gratitude upon being a part of this journey.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur revolves around the journey of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw, wherein Fatima Sana Shaikh adds weight to the plot by portraying the role of Smt. Indira Gandhi. From carrying the grit to exuding serious intensity, Fatima pulled off the role with believability, making it seem incredibly real. She even received immense appreciation and praise from the audiences and critics, which highlighted her range as an actress and shed light on her versatility.
