MUMBAI: Many actors in Bollywood do not come from a film background and often have other dreams or aspirations, yet, there comes a time when they find success in the film industry and make a place for themselves there. One such actress is Raashii Khanna who made her film debut in 2013. Raashii Khanna, born and brought up in Delhi, completed her graduation in English from Delhi University.
Raashii Khanna once revealed in an interview that she did not aspire to be a part of the film industry and wanted to be an IAS officer. "I was good in my studies. Initially, I wanted to become a singer but in college, I decided to go into administrative services. I wanted to prepare for IAS and become an officer but my luck took me to films. I never dreamt of becoming a model or an actress," she said.
Raashii Khanna entered the world of modelling in college while she was working as a copywriter. She then made her debut in 2013 with the film 'Madras Cafe' opposite John Abraham.
Raashii Khanna then made her debut in South cinema with 'Oohalu Gusagusalade'. Raashii Khanna is more popular in the South than in Bollywood. But, her recent appearance in 'Yodha' with Siddharth Malhotra and Disha Patani has certainly increased her popularity.
It is important to note that Raashii Khanna charges close to Rs 1 crore per film and her net worth is estimated to be over Rs 66 crore.

Raashii Khanna currently has a few Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil films lined up which are all set to release this year or early next year.
