MUMBAI:The recent success of ‘Crew’ has opened up doors for female-centric roles like never before because now filmmakers, and the trade experts feel long overdue this feeling that women can lead movies in which men should traditionally play heroes.

One such movie had been announced even before Crew but for some reason, it had gone under the backburner after the announcement which had created a lot of excitement in the industry and among fans. Just like the movie Crew, the movie had three leading ladies, all three ladies were Superstars and in leading roles.

Unlike Crew, two of the leading ladies were from the same generation and one was from the current generation like Kriti Sanon was in Crew. However, after the announcement and after the project took on its designs, for some reason, there was no development and people seem to have completely forgotten about the project.

In fact, it was being designed as the male counterpart of an already very successful film. Now the success of Crew has prompted the makers to look back at that project but due to the amount of stalling that occurred and due to one of the female leads not being available, the makers are thinking of recasting the entire Trio of leads and going for three new cast members of which, it seems that, all three cast members, unlike how the earlier project was set up, all three, uh, leading female actors will be from the current generation and one of them is probably an actor who was also a part of the movie Crew.

So if all goes well, we should be seeing this project on the big screens by next year.
