In a conversation with the well-known news website, Ali Abbas Zafar stated, "Salman Khan is like a brother to me, both Salman and Katrina are very close. I always say that whatever I have today achieved as a maker, they have contributed a huge amount of that success to my career. I love him. I just feel he's a very good actor. His persona is so big that people don't talk about him as an actor. Salman is beautiful, and his mass connection is tremendous."
Ali added, "I was pleasantly surprised when he tweeted because he saw the trailer and then he called me. He said 'Your trailer is good. What should I do?' I said 'What? You do what you want'. So he said, 'Should I tweet?' I said, 'Please tweet'. And then what he wrote was so, so sweet. That's really generous of him. In our industry, which is always about contemporaries, which is always about competition, a man like Salman Khan going all out, giving us a shout-out and he knows Eid is synonymous with him, so it's been great."
In response to the question of when we might expect to see him reunited with the actor, Ali concluded, "Inshallah, very soon."
