Amitabh Bachchan watches Bhoothnath Returns with President Pranab Mukherjee

Looks like Bhoothnath is captivating not just the aam junta but also the high and mighty residing in Raisina Hill. Yesterday, Bachchan senior flew to Rashtrapati Bhavan along with daughter Shweta to attend a special screening of Bhoothnath Returns arranged for Indian President Pranab Mukherjee. And like everyone else, our President too was left impressed with Amitabh’s and other star cast’s performances. Praising the movie for being an apt one in our current political scenario, the President congratulated and presented the cast and crew with a special memento. Blogging about the incident, Amitabh wrote: “The President of India, Mr Pranab Mukherji has just been shown our film ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, and I am delighted to say he enjoyed it immensely. He applauded after the film was over, as did the entire select invitees and said it was such an apt and beautifully constructed film, keeping in mind the current election scenario in the country. What a huge privilege and an honor for the President to have taken time out from his busy schedule to oblige us with his august presence. His words of encouragement for the entire cast and crew, and his generosity in presenting us with a special memento goes a long way in the appreciation of the film, and in his own kindness.” While our President seems to have enjoyed the movie, we are wonder if a certain Madam G has had time to watch Bhoothnath Returns.
