He revealed, “The character wasn’t written; I created it myself. I recall telling Yash Chopra that the role was rather limited, so I suggested making the character a cricket enthusiast. The dialogues and nuances were all my own additions. I always expressed to Yash Chopra my eagerness to be part of his films, even if just for a brief moment—such visionary directors encourage actors to improvise.”
