MUMBAI: The renowned Bollywood writing team Salim-Javed's documentary series has begun to air on Prime Video. The Khan family revealed in the third episode of Angry Young Men that Salim Khan had sat them down and told them about Helen, his second wife, and Salma Khan, his first wife had never encouraged her children to think negatively about the scriptwriter.

Arbaaz Khan disclosed that Salma Khan, his mother, never talked ill about Helen or Salim. He stated, “My mother never influenced us to think or say anything against our father. She had her troubles, but she never influenced us to think, ‘Your dad is like this,’ or, ‘This is what he is doing.’ Never.”

Arbaaz shared that all the kids continue to call Helen "aunty," because that’s what they have been calling her since she first entered their lives. “Though we treat her as a mother, we call her Helen Aunty. She is part of our lives,” Arbaaz said, adding that more than the kids, it's Salma Khan who ensures that Helen is part of everything.

Salim Khan got married to Sushika Charak (now Salma Khan) in 1964. The couple had four children together: Alvira, a daughter, and three sons, Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail. After that, in 1981, Salim wed Helen Ann Richardson, and the two adopted a daughter, Arpita. Salim Khan also talked about the moment he first told his family about Helen in the same documentary series.

Salim Khan disclosed that he talked about it with his children. He confessed his love for Helen Aunty to them, but he also told them that he knew they could not love her as much as they loved their mother. "But I want the same respect for her," he said to them.

On the sets of Kabli Khan, where Salim portrayed the villain and Helen the heroine, they first got to know each other. However, the two never spoke to each other on the sets. They talked only after they crossed paths again on the sets of Amitabh Bachchan's Don; after that, they were never seen again.
