In our exclusive interview with Armaan Malik for the release of his new song, Tera Main Intezaar, the highly talented and versatile singer revealed he was the silent mischievous one in childhood, trapping elder brother Amaal Malik in his tricks, and how their contrasting personalities help them create musical gems together.
Armaan Malik said, “If you ask Amaal he’ll say I’m the more mischievous one. I was the Narad Muni in my house. I used to create fights and then leave the scene. But yeah both Amaal and I have literally grown together. Since we are siblings we’ve had multiple fights which is common for any sibling. And we are making music also I think there’s so much back and forth because he has a way of thinking and I have a way of thinking but both of us come on a common page that gaana acha banana hai, abhi kaise banana hai, kya banana hai, that we will figure out because I have a certain way of approaching thing and you are completely different. I think his personality over the years…pehle who aur badmashi karta tha now he is more chilled out and more in his own zone. And I have been the silent badmash guy. I used to never show it. You will never think I am the badmash guy but I have my badmashi up my sleeves. Our personalities are so honest, we like keeping it real, even with fans, on social media, if our tweets are anything to go by, both Amaal and I have been very very honest about everything, whether it’s something we are going through in the industry, whether it’s something that we are feeling, if there is some injustice happening anywhere, we are always making sure we are voicing against it. And we’ve always been like that and we believe that we have to be good human being first and everything else is afterwards.”
