MUMBAI: Article 15 showcased the story of an honest cop who investigates a heinous crime but comes face to face with the unfortunate realities of caste discrimination.The Anubhav Sinha directorial was disturbing and a stark reminder of the deep-rooted caste hierarchy of our country.
The film completed a glorious 50 days in the theatres. Now, Article 15 has received 10 nominations at the Screen Awards: Best Screenplay, Best Dialogues, Best Director, Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Production Design.
The film-maker has dealt with relevant issues plaguing India in a realistic manner and certainly deserves the nominations. What's your take?
