MUMBAI: Skand Thakur's theatrical debut in Article 370 has wowed audiences all over as it is now streaming on Netflix after its theatrical release. Skand who plays the role of Assistant Commandant Wasim Abasi spoke about his experience of working with co-star Yami Gautam. In the film, Skand's character grapples with the intricate themes of duty, honor, and sacrifice, navigating a complex narrative landscape with poise and intensity. Reflecting on his experience working alongside Yami, Skand offered high praise for his co-star, highlighting her unwavering commitment to her craft.

Skand shares his experience of working with Yami Gautam, "Yami Ma'am is honestly very hardworking. She's very honest towards her work, and that is something I've picked up from her. In fact, her training started a week before us. We were a week late, but every time we were there, if I didn't understand something and if I was not getting anything, she was always there to help."

Thakur, who shares a hometown with Yami in Himachal Pradesh, found common ground beyond the script, bonding over their shared roots and reminiscing about their beloved homeland. "We had some bits of conversations about how much we missed certain things about Himachal, so it was really nice. She was also glad to know that I'm from the same hometown," Skand shared.

In preparation for his role as the CRPF officer, Skand underwent rigorous training under the guidance of two esteemed ex-army officers from the National Security Guard (NSG). Over a span of 15-20 days, Skand dedicated himself to honing the skills and mannerisms essential to portraying a commanding officer authentically.
The training regimen, consisting of daily sessions lasting 3 to 4 hours, focused primarily on weapon handling and safety protocols. Skand shared, "We underwent an intensive training regimen that not only honed my physical skills but also deepened my understanding of the sacrifices made by our armed forces. Every moment spent with the officers from the NSG was a revelation, shaping not just my performance, but my perspective on duty and valor. 'Article 370' is not just a film; it's a tribute to the unsung heroes who stand guard in the face of adversity."
