Balaji was keen to keep the film's climax hidden till the very end rather than letting the suspense leak out, which is common these days. Therefore, as a precautionary move, it was decided to shoot the climax as late as possible.

Balaji was keen to keep the film's climax hidden till the very end rather than letting the suspense leak out, which is common these days. Therefore, as a precautionary move, it was decided to shoot the climax as late as possible.
Says Ekta Kapoor, “These days it doesn’t take long for mischief mongers to speculate and spread false news. So Vishal (Bharadwaj) and I decided to shoot the climax just a month before the release, as we didn’t want it leaked.”
The entire cast of the film, comprising Emraan Hashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi, participated in the shoot.
Ek Thi Daayan releases on 19 April (2013).
