With tremendous love and appreciation pouring in from audiences, critics, and the government, the film has been made tax-free in several states. Recently, the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, announced the film as tax-free in the state. In response, the producers of The Sabarmati Report, Ektaa R Kapoor and Anshul Mohan, met him to express their gratitude.
The release of The Sabarmati Report has powerfully demonstrated the impact of meaningful content, resonating with audiences nationwide. As being declared tax-free in Odisha, producers Ektaa R Kapoor and Anshul Mohan met the Honorable Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to thank him for his support. This meeting followed their visit to Delhi, where they attended a screening of the film with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The film has been declared tax-free in multiple states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Odisha. Remarkably, The Sabarmati Report is the only film to achieve tax-free status in so many states. Additionally, it holds the distinction of being the first film watched by the Prime Minister, Honorable Narendra Modi, since he assumed office.
