MUMBAI: Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has established himself as a filmmaker par excellence with numerous box office successes ranging from hits to all-time blockbusters under his belt. After gaining recognition with 'Hum Tum,' Siddharth Anand established himself in Bollywood's romantic comedy genre with his directorial debut 'Salaam Namaste' (2005), followed by 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' (2007), 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' (2008), and 'Anjaana Anjaani' (2010). Beyond helming super-hits, Siddharth stepped into production of movies with Producer Mamta Anand. Together, Mamta and Siddharth Anand started Marflix Pictures, whose maiden film production, the high-octane action thriller, 'Fighter' went on to be a commercial success grossing over ₹360 crore, retained as the highest grossing Hindi film of 2024. The filmmaker has earned a reputation of churning out exceptional action films with the recent flair in aerial action with 2024’s Fighter.
The move to production along with Producer Mamta Anand also highlighted the filmmakers adaptability and risk-taking capabilities, making them one of Bollywood's most innovative directors and producers. Now, according to media reports, they are gearing up for their next set of projects which includes Shah Rukh Khan-Suhana Khan starrer King, Saif Ali Khan starrer Jewel Thief, an untitled mega budget two hero actioner among others.
