Ladies and gentleman, finally the  moment India has eagerly been waiting for has arrived. We have learnt through a highly reliable source that friends-turned-foe-turned-friends Salman and Shah Rukh Khan have finally decided to bury their remaining hatchet and star together in a film and that too as brothers in Ram-Lakhan. And the deal, we have learnt, was brokered by none other than Salman's sister Arpita Khan whom both Khans dote on completely.

Though the Khans officially inked the deal today, the decision was taken when SRK made an impromptu visit to Salman's house at midnight to bless Arpita Khan before her wedding last year. Reveals a source, "It was an emotional moment for the Khandaan. There has never been any great rivalry between SRK and Salman. And when SRK came calling on Arpita, Salman was moved to tears and embraced him warmly. An overwhelmed SRK after gifting Arpita expensive handbags asked her if there was any other wish of hers that he could fulfill. And that is when Arpita asked SRK if a film with him and her Bhaijaan could be possible. To everyone's surprise, SRK almost immediately said yes without batting an eyelid."

SRK is then believed to have rang up his close buddy Karan Johar who immediately suggested Ram Lakhan as the perfect comeback vehicle for the Khans. With Rohit Shetty already on board, Salman too gave the decision thumbs up. Given the high profile casting coup, things were kept under immense secrecy. Speculations about younger stars like Varun and Arjun being cast were deliberately leaked to divert the attention of the media. But finally the cat is out of the bag.

While the original Ram Lakhan had Jackie Shroff playing Anil Kapoor's elder brother, the new version will have SRK and Salman playing brothers from different mothers unified in spirit. The leading ladies haven't been cast yet and hunt is on to find the most suitable ones for the Khans.

We are sure Ram Lakhan part 2 will be an even greater hit.
