David Schwimmer to guest star in 'Will & Grace'

Former Friends star David Schwimmer will appear in season two of Will & Grace.

The actor, who found fame as Ross in Friends, has been given a recurring guest role in Peacock network's revived comedy Will & Grace.

NBC announced on Wednesday that Schwimmer, 51, will play the new love interest of Debra Messing's character Grace, reports suggest so.

It will be the actor's first appearance on network prime time TV since Friends went off the air in 2004.

He has starred on other shows like American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson and Feed the Beast.

Schwimmer is the latest to join Will & Grace that returned to the small screen in 2017.

Alec Baldwin and Mary McCormack will be returning for its second season and Chelsea Handler has started filming a guest role.

The comedy went off the air in 2006 after eight seasons and returned in the fall of 2017 with all four original cast members - Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mulally and Sean Hayes.

Demi Lovato cancels tour dates in Mexico, South America

Singer-actress Demi Lovato, currently undergoing treatment at a rehabilitation centre, has cancelled the remaining dates for her 'Tell Me You Love Me' tour.

The tour, organised by Live Nation Entertainment, was headed to six cities across South America later this year.

"Unfortunately, Demi Lovato has cancelled her upcoming 'Tell Me You Love Me' tour dates in South America, as she is focusing on her recovery," read a statement from Live Nation to a leading publication.

Lovato was hospitalised in July when she overdosed following a relapse after six years of sobriety. She spent several weeks in Cedars-Sinai hospital here recovering.

The 25-year-old former Disney star wrote a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday thanking the hospital staff, her team, and her family for being with her during the hospitalisation process.

"It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet," she said of her journey with addiction in the post.

Lovato was scheduled to appear in Chile, Argentina and Brazil starting 14 November, but tickets are now refunded following the tour's cancellation.

Lovato has not kept her most recent relapse a secret, revealing it in her single "Sober", which has seen a newfound popularity on streaming platforms and has returned to the Billboard charts following the initial news of her overdose.

A step in right direction: Blum on Oscars' changes

Producer Jason Blum has lauded Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences for making changes in the upcoming edition of Oscars.

"I know it was a very hard thing to do politically, and I commend them for doing so, the Academy Awards have to be entertaining to watch, and I really think they took a step in the right direction with this," Blum told as leading publication.

In a letter sent to its members, the Academy announced that the telecast will now be kept to under three hours, which means that some of the 24 categories will be announced during commercial breaks and then edited into the ceremony later on. Also, there will be an award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Film.

However, Blum isn't sure what to make of the new contentious category of outstanding achievement in popular film. He said, "I think that remains to be seen."

Get Out, produced by Blum, was nominated for best picture this year.

Idris Elba to star in 'Ghetto Cowboy'

Actor Idris Elba has grabbed a role in debutant director Ricky Stauba's film Ghetto Cowboy.

Penned by Staub and Dan Walser, the film is based on the award-winning novel by Greg Neri, reports suggest so.

Staub said, "This story was built out of a deep friendship and collaboration with the riders of North Philly, and I couldn't be more excited to honour their legacy with this film."

The movie follows a 15-year-old Cole, who's forced to live with his estranged father Harp (Elba) in North Philadelphia, where, despite the surrounding poverty and violence, he discovers the redemptive world of urban horseback riding.

Elba said, "Ricky and Dan's brilliant script combines the energy and grit of an urban movie with the poetry and romance of the urban cowboy way of life."

Elba's recent works include The Dark Tower, Molly's Game, Thor: Ragnarok and The Mountain Between Us. He has also joined the cast of Fast and Furious Spin off as a villain.

Fatboy Slim not ready to retire

DJ Fatboy Slim, whose given name is Norman Cook, says that retirement is not part of his plans right now.

"It took him (his son) 16 years to see dad's job is actually pretty cool. That's just kids. I have been DJing in Ibiza since 1987. I can imagine it will happen at some point but I am nowhere near that point yet. I am not giving up anytime soon," the 55-year-old DJ told Evening Standard.

However, Norman's other child (eight-year-old daughter Nelly) with former wife Zoe Ball, is a huge fan of her father's work and always has been, reports suggest so.

He said, "My daughter... when she comes to watch me at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza - as you do not have to be over 18 and she is only eight - that makes her year. She loves seeing daddy at work. No, she's not embarrassed about me at all. I find other ways to embarrass her, do not worry."

While Norman is a hugely successful DJ, he said that his musical tastes are quite different to what he plays in his sets.

Lilly Allen's list of regrets

Singer Lilly Allen regrets bleaching her hair and spending so much on clothes that she can't even wear now.

In an interview with Stylist magazine, Allen offered her younger self some style advice, which includes not buying so many expensive clothes.

She said, "Stop spending lots of money on clothes because I used to have lots of money and I liked clothes. Now I don't have so much money and I don't fit in any of those clothes."

Allen advised herself not to bleach her candyfloss pink hair, but said she wouldn't change how she dressed while performing, reports suggest so.

The singer also offered herself some career advice, which involved trusting instincts, and collaborating more with other women, rather than competing.

She said, "Probably don't sign a five album deal for 25,000 pounds and get a more reliable accountant and work with people with better intentions. I'd tell myself to listen to your instincts a little bit more, stand up for yourself.

"I'd trusted people to take care of other things and instinctively I knew things weren't quite right but I didn't really have the experience yet to take those instincts seriously."

Twitter is unfortunate: Iggy Azalea

Rapper Iggy Azalea finds the micro-blogging site Twitter "unfortunate".

"Twitter is unfortunate, social media is unfortunate because it freezes that in time for us. In some ways, that's good. You can look back and self reflect and say, 'Geez, I've come a long way, that's good'. The silver lining is that you can look at that and be like, 'Never again'," Azalea told Idolators.

She does not sit around thinking, "If only I could delete that one thing", reports suggest so.

"You know, you have got to move forward and have personal growth. I do not really think much about that," she added.

Mischa Barton wore fake Chanel on 'The O.C.'

Actress Mischa Barton wore fake Chanel and other designer labels on The O.C., says the show's costume designer Alexandra Welker.

"It was a challenge because everything had to look super high-end. There was absolutely no borrowing (from brands) involved either because nobody had ever heard of us, so they were very leery of loaning anything," Welker told Page Six.

She added, "I'll be honest. Those Chanel bags that she carried, those were not something I could have on my budget. But I found this amazing store in Downtown Los Angeles that sold the best-looking fakes I had ever seen! So we used some really, really good knockoffs."

The show, which ran from 2003 to 2007, followed a group of wealthy teenagers in Southern California's Orange County.

The Chanel boy bag, which Barton's character Marissa used as a book bag, cost approximately $1650 at the time, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She said, "People got really worked up over that Chanel book bag; they thought that the idea of a teenage carrying one to school was obscene!"

Welker recalled trying to raise money before the show had aired and being turned down by every designer she asked.

She said, "In the pilot, I remember we did a fashion fundraiser.... I called every designer out there to explain what we were doing and who I was, and they all turned me down. So for those runway looks, we used everything from sale-rack clothes to things from costume houses to things I'd designed myself."

Larson might join Michael B. Jordan in 'Just Mercy'

Actress Brie Larson is in final negotiations to co-star with Michael B. Jordan in the upcoming legal drama Just Mercy.

Details of her role are not yet known, reports suggest so.

The film is an adaptation of Equal Justice Initiative founder Bryan Stevenson's 2014 memoir on his first case, Walter McMillian, a young black man sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit.

Despite his airtight alibi, McMillian was convicted and spent six years on death row before being exonerated.

Destin Cretton, with whom Larson worked on Short Term 12 and The Glass Castle, is directing the film from a script which he co-wrote with Andrew Lanham.

Grant Gustin hits back at body shamers

Actor Grant Gustin has slammed body shamers who mocked him for his skinny physique.

The actor, 28, took to Instagram after a leaked photograph of him in his new costume for season five of the show The Flash sparked criticism of his weight, reports suggest so.

Responding to comments about his thin physique, he wrote, "I've had 20+ years of kids and adults telling me or my parents I was too thin. I've had my own journey of accepting it. But there's a double standard where it's okay to talk s*** about a dude's body."

"I do my best to stay in shape and add as much size as I can throughout these seasons. I'm naturally thin, and my appetite is greatly affected by stress. Stress is something that ebbs and flows for me throughout a season. Thus, gaining weight is a challenge for me," Gustin added.

Talking about getting the role on The Flash, which is aired in India on Colors Infinity, he said, "I didn't cast a slim actor as The Flash. I went to an audition for a role I never dreamed I'd actually book. But here I am five seasons later. I'm happy with my body and who I am and other kids who are built like me and thinner than me should be able to feel the same way.

"Not only that, but they should be able to feel like they could be a superhero on TV or film or whatever it may be some day."

He also said the leaked image, believed to have been taken during a costume fitting, was "a terrible photo that I was unaware was being taken".

Gustin told fans that the costume is "a cool suit" adding, "Some things need work and they will be worked on. We'll get there."
